Appearance[]
Flamberge is a straight, single edge, one handed long sword. Its blade is black on the dulled side and a flaming red and orange on the sharpened edge. Its crossguard goes downward to protect the user's hands from frontward blows. The handle is white with a gold and chrome pommel.
Near the end of Sword Art Online, Asuka evolves the blade with her runic abilities to take on a sleeker, more streamline shape. The blade is thinner, black with orange accents and an orange blade edge. The crossguard takes on a more tribal design as well. The handle remains white while the pommel is orange.
