Blade Master's Repose
|VRMMORPG||Sword Art Online|
|Unique Skill||Judgement Cut|
|Status||Created by Ishi|
It is one of the most powerful single weapons in Sword Art Online.
Izanagi shares much the same physical appearance as its previous form, Kusanagi, the difference being coloration. Izanagi has a black handle with white cloth grip around it, with a black pommel and black crossguard of slightly differing design from Kusanagi. The blade is black with a chrome blade edge. The scabbard is black with a chrome decoration at the end.
Izanagi is by far one of the most powerful weapons in all of Sword Art Online, however, it is extremely difficult to use to its full potential. Untrained, the blade will not do much damage, and can even do none at all. The amount of damage outputted by Izanagi is completely determinant on the skill of the wielder. With Ishi, the blade is extremely deadly to all his enemies, with his strikes rarely going under maximum attack power. It is due to the immense power of the blade, Ishi avoids using it, as it would make all his battles far to quick for his tastes, being able to end all opponents in a single strike. He will only use Izanagi as a show of his abilities or if he absolutely needs to. With Judgement Cut, Ishi is able to project even more damage at distance to instantly shred apart any enemy and end a battle before it even begins.
A special property of Izanagi is that it will always leave a physical body behind, whether it be a dead player or NPC.
There is a special fighting style Ishi uses while wielding Izanagi, named White Resonance, but is also capable of using Yamato's Dark Slayer style.
Izanagi possesses the Judgement Cut ability, a trait gained from Yamato.
