Thorned Shadows is Satoshi Kuroto's secondary sword in Sword Art Online, kept sheathed on his back so that the Unique Skill embedded in this sword is always available for him.
Appearance[]
Thorned Shadows is a large, single-edged sword with a curved tip. Along the flat edge, near the base of the blade, is a series of saw-teeth that connect to the guard. The blade itself is obsidian black, with silver details and an ornate, blood-red overlay near the guard. The guard itself is very simplistic, being a metallic plate jutting out from the saw-teeth with an scythe-like hand guard extending from the bladed edge. Its hilt is black with red striping which flares out about halfway down to double its width, with a spiked pommel adorning its end.
